Fredericton Firefighters made a cheque presentation to Jenelle Sobey and Kerry O’Leary (co-chairs Fredericton Run for the Cure) for $2700. The money raised was from wearing pink shirts on duty to raise awareness for Breast Cancer Research. The firefighters who wore the pink shirts had to buy the shirts as well as make a donation to wear them on duty. We also sold pink t-shirts to the public, with all proceeds going to the donation. We also held our Annual Guns & Hoses Charity Hockey Game, with the money raised being split between Run for the Cure and Juvenile Diabetes (City Police’s Charity). Thanks to all the citizens and city staff who donated and supported the campaign. Thanks to all the Firefighters who participated and donated.
