Fredericton Photos

These photos reveal how close the buildings were together in the 19th and early 20th century. Most houses and businesses had sheds and/or cattle barns attatched to the back of their building. Many times, these sheds intersected each other. When a fire got out of control, there was little that could be done to stop it from spreading to other structures.
